What is a LIVE Weekend?

  • An exciting, powerful weekend when a team of laypeople visit your church and live among you, lead small groups and share their faith in Christ.
  • A time for experiencing true Christian community and personal renewal.

Who is the Team?

  • Just plain, ordinary laypeople whose churches have hosted a LIVE Weekend.
  • Common everyday people who have encountered the living Christ.
  • Christian men, women, and youth from many backgrounds
  • Not perfect people, but believers who have been awakened by the Holy Spirit.
  • People who put their faith to work in their personal lives.
  • People who are involved in the life of their local church.

What about the Team Leader?

  • LIVE Ministries Lay Coordinators are specifically trained to lead the team, the weekend and the services.
  • The Coordinator is deeply devoted Christian with experience as a team member and leader.
  • The Coordinator works closely with the pastor and church leaders to prepare for the LIVE Weekend.

What Is the purpose of LIVE Ministries?

Congregational renewal and the initiation of authentic Christian community.

How Does LIVE Ministries Accomplish its Purpose?

Through a simple program known as LIVE Weekends. During these Weekends ordinary laypersons share what God is doing in their lives. This happens in various structured small group settings, including "traditional" small groups, coffees and luncheons, as well as in more conventional worship settings.

What Has Been Our History?

Founded in Vancouver, Washington, in 1975, LIVE Ministries has conducted over 1,000 LIVE Weekends in North America and in many international locations. Over 3,000 lay people have served as LIVE Team members and leaders. Over 1,200 people have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior.

With what Parent Organization is LIVE Ministries Affiliated?

We are affiliated with the Kingdom Ministries of the Church of God, Anderson, Indiana.

How Is LIVE Ministries Structured?

LIVE Ministries is a 501-C3, non-profit corporation.
We are governed by a Board of Directors made up of Regional Directors, a Training Director, a member elected from and by the Weekend Coordinators, Executive Director, Secretary and Treasurer.

In addition to the Board of Directors, general direction to the ministry is provided by a Steering Committee made up of three Church of God pastors, one sponsor liaison representing the General Assembly of the Church of God, Anderson, IN, the Founding Church Pastor, a representative from the LIVE Ministries Foundation, the Board President and the Executive Director of LIVE Ministries.

How Large A Staff Do We Have?

Four paid part-time positions - Executive Director, Administrative Assistant, two clerical. Five Regional Directors and one International Director all serve on a voluntary basis. Trained Weekend Coordinators serve on a voluntary basis.
